Technology inventions have come a long way throughout history. Many technology inventions that have changed our everyday lives are ones that we take for granted on a daily basis. 1. GPS Technology

GPS Technology was originally made in 1978 by the United States Military. Since its creation it is now used on many vehicles such as cars, boats and aircrafts.

2. Fax Machine

The Fax machine was created by Alexander Bain in 1843. However fax machines did not become popular in usage until the 1980s.

3. Gas Mask

In 1823 John and Charles Deane invented a smoke protecting creation that protected fire fighters and was later created to help underwater divers. The Gas mask as we know it today was created in 1874 by British inventor Samuel Barton.

4. Lawn Mower

In 1899 John Burr patented a rotary blade for home lawn mower machines.

5. Internal Combustion Engine

The Internal Combustion Engine is known as the heart of the vehicles. It was invented in the first automobile in 1769.

6. Umbrella

A basic umbrella was technically created well over 4,000 years ago. The first newer modern umbrella that we know of today was created in 1852 by Samuel Fox.

7. Electronic Money

Electronic money includes plastic credit cards and debit cards.  The first bank card was created in 1946 by John Biggins.
